Mrs. Essie Hamblen, age 90, a life resident of the West Lebanon community in Warren County, died al 6 a.m. Friday, April 14 at the Margenette Nursing Home in Danville. She had been a patient there eight years. Mrs. Hamblen was born Aug. 3, 1876, in Warren County, the daughter of George and Jane McIntosh Biggs. She was married Jan. 11, 1899, in Warren County to Oddy Hamblen, who died in 1952. She was a member of the West Lebanon Chapter 162, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include: two nephews, Harold Biggs of Earl Park and George Biggs of Danville, Ill.; and one niece, Mrs. Blanch Cox of Veedersburg. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the West Lebanon Christian Church. The Rev. Kenneth Littleford officiated and burial, with the Crowmer & Siddens Funeral Home of West Lebanon in charge, was in the West Lebanon Cemetery.  --typed by Walt W
